Thursday Oct 29 2015… The Godfather of Funk George Clinton came to the New Parrish in Oakland and turned the whole place into the Mothership. It was an epic night.. A full 3 hour performance where they ripped through all the hits and made folks sweat like there was no tomorrow..The highlight was when they did Maggot Brain.. Some say George isn’t as energetic as he used to be.. I say the crowds George has been performing in front of don’t know how to get hyphy like they do in Oakland..
