Thursday Oct 29 2015… Got a chance to check out Oakland’s La Misa Negra the other night at New Parrish. They opened up for George Clinton and did not disappoint..

For those who don’t know La Misa Negra is an Oakland based group and features accordion player and group founder, Marco Polo Santiago, Diana Trujillo (lead vocals), Saday Cordoba (backup vocals, choreography), Justin Chin (tenor sax, baritone sax), Morgan Nilsen (clarinet), Anthony Anderson (trumpet), Erich Huffaker (upright bass), Craig Miller (drums, percussion), and Elena de Troya (percussion).
